His role in "Far From the Madding Crowd" will always be memorable for me. That film is a favorite of mine, probably more to do with Julie Christie's beauty than anything else.
Of course, the cinematography, acting and musical score also had something to do with my fondness for that film. He will be missed, I always enjoyed his performances. I can't wait for Zorba the Greek to be release on dvd too.
