"A breakout cable to be used to connect a component out player to a VGA port for say an X1. Use only the red, green and blue BNCs but u will also need BNC to RCA adapters. "

Ehh... i don't think so...

A breakout cable, as far as i am familiar with it, is used to connect a computer to a projector with RGB ins. A computer VGA connector contains all 5 connection pins, and most projectors have 5 separate BNC plugs, so they just terminate the other end with BNC instead of VGA plug.

You can't send component video to RGB ins.
