Don't worry, if it gets up to about 50 I'll chuck this list and move over to the AFI one.
FYI, I already know I like Japanese, Chinese, Korean and French cinema, so we'll see what I think about films from any of those countries on the list. I've also got Pyaasa recorded, so I'll be giving Indian cinema another go.
Moving on...
Blade Runner (Technical: A++) (Content: C): This was the first movie I sat all the way through completely because of the visuals, cinematography and art direction. The characters were shallow and undeveloped, the story could be summed up into about a sentence without losing any of it, and the world could have used a bit more fleshing out, but none of that matters. The atmosphere, the style, the setting is well worth seeing the film for. And I didn't think the story was particularly bad, just nothing special.
