We were lucky enough to be the prize in a bidding war between seven studios (including New Line, Miramax, Revolution, UA) and the winner was Lion's Gate, who made a very aggressive offer.

Amazing. No studio would even touch "Dog Soldiers," but they're falling all over themselves for another "group of teens goes to a remote cabin" story.
I'm not knocking the movie, just saying that the premise has been the set-up for countless past movies whereas I thought DS was fairly original, well-done, and great fun, yet had no interest from US distributors.
