hey rob, thanks for the input... i know it was awhile ago i posted this but i decided to stay with a "wired" setup. just wanted to say thanks for the help!

just picked up this tv, and hooked up my cable box no problems via hdmi hooked up a old dvd player via component cable picture comes on for a second and than displays "no signal" i can hear the audio fine but the video/audio...

currently just moved to a home where i have all hardwood floors and no basement. i do not want wires running all over what would i be best to do?
