I too am eager to see "user" reviews on the new models. I have had a few Yamahas and beeb very pleased with them. I hope they stay true to the past lines.

I have thought and researched doing this for years. With the amount of beer that I drink it would be so much cheaper. The problem that I found was space. Now that the garage is cleaned out I might have to look into doing this as well.

I myself have been looking for a 50" plasma. I think that after reading a bunch of reviews that I am going to go with the Toshiba 50HP66. You might want to check it out and see what you think.

thanks for the information that is just what I was looking for. I think that I will wait till fall/winter or as long as I can before my unit craps out. As it is not I had to rewire everything to use a different optical input for TV audio.
