With the receiver and the sub about $6000, but thats CDN dollars. When I bought the stuff the dollar was about 75 cents so doing some quick math about $4500 USD.

John is right, and the 702 has pre outs if you wish to upgrade the amplification later or add a two channel amp for stereo music.
A true purist would say replace it. You said it sounded fine, so I wouldn't worry about it. Then again, if it bugs you to leave it that way, get another tweeter, carefully replace it and keep the one you took out in a safe place in case...
