I agree that the F for Fake DVD is a no brainer, hopefully Criterion will really 'hook us up' with some of the interesting short things that Orson was working on during that time period.
I got my copy yesterday. I'm pretty damn impressed. The video is a bit grainy, but pretty detailed. The audio I liked QUITE a bit more than the reviewer, due to the fact that I was expecting the 2.0 Pro Logic track from the VHS. ...
If they hadn't already released the excellent Starship Troopers SE, I'd be all over that one. The DD track is excellent on that one IMO, so I see no reason to upgrade just for that.
Yup, you answered your own question there. Still, it's pretty nice overall. It has some minor compression artifacts (like many early DVDs), but is still worthwhile I feel.

Keep in mind that price does not include taxes/shipping/handling. Deep discount DVD now has it at $52.89 with no additional charges.
By my math, Best Buy B&M is still cheaper even after tax.
Did you see the link that Jason posted a few before this? Read it, it gives Gandolfini's side of the story. Between the two, I'm much more inclined to believe him.

From the MSNBC article...
"HBO said it had signed Gandolfini to do a fifth and sixth season, though he is also challenging whether the network can hold him to a sixth season."
SIXTH SEASON? I hadn't heard they were planning that....
