From what I've read LCOS does not give you the deep blacks of DLP. If you need a thin set, check out the Optoma 50" DLP which is only about 14" deep or the new DLP offerings from RCA and InFocus which are even thinner. Bruce

One more question: What is the difference between the InFocus 61md10 and the RCA Scenium HD61THW263??? Based on the specs and photos they look absolutely identical to me? Are they really the same set? Thanks, Bruce

Personally, I prefer DLP for movies on DVD. Plasma would be my second choice and LCD my third--but I am not an expert and would love to hear the opinions of others. Bruce

I thought that blackening of the chip was true of all HD2+ chips. The ads and spec sheets make it sound like "Dark Chip 2" is something new and in addition to the HD2+ chip. Bruce
