There's a boxset of Wertmuller films (including SEVEN BEAUTIES and SWEPT AWAY) coming out on Sep 20th from Koch Lorber.. unfortunately both of these titles look to be 4x3..
Yep, whenever another language other than English is spoken, there is burnt-in french subs!!! Very weird... maybe they mixed up the Quebec release or something. It's definately a flaw, but I don't think any of the foreign dialogue...
I am beginning to wonder if some people on this website are millionaires, they seem to be willing to buy a HD-DVD player right away along with as many titles as they possibly can
I am more than happy with DVD and I have no desire to...
Here's some more:
Jesus of Montreal (Koch Lorber) 1989
Grind (Warner Bros.) 2003
Dances With Wolves - Theatrical Version (MGM) 1990
Straight Talk (Walt Disney) 1992
Ponette (Fox Lorber) 1996
Here's some cheap Canadian R1...

Then they will both die a miserable death like they should. Har har har!
Yeah, I paid 8.97 GBP for the R2 disc at Amazon just a couple of months ago - not quite sure why it jumped in price. I am probably not gonna 'double dip' because they both have the same extras and the picture quality is close enough.
If they're going to sue MGM over something trivial and stupid like this, then somebody should sue TVA Films for advertising on the back cover that the "The Saddest Music in the World" DVD was widescreen when in fact, it wasn't.
I bought this, and the subtitles aren't that bad. Everyone is over-reacting. I guess it doesn't matter that much to me because I am used to this with those poor Alliance Atlantis discs that always seem to have subtitles in HoH format.
My top 10 list;
01) Short Cuts: Criterion Collection
02) Wild at Heart
03) Fat Girl: Criterion Collection
04) Martin Scorsese Collection
05) Oldboy SE (R3)
06) Zatoichi/Sonatine
07) The Saddest Music in the World
08) Santa...
