I currently don't own a console, but was considering an XBox (the current one)...now I'm wondering if I should wait. But there are several games out now I want to play and there doesn't seem to be any clear indication that they'll run...
Just a quick note to say I really enjoyed reading the transcript and hope I'll be able to join a future one. There was some great info on this chat, but I wish someone had asked them about Hamlet (1996), which I understand they own now.
Can anyone tell me if the Uni DVD-As have the same problem with the Pioneer DV-563A that the Warner ones do? I never got mine updated and would like to know this before I invest in the DVDA or wait for an SACD.
Has anyone who's picked this up played it in a Pioneer 563a? I keep hearing that some Warner DVD-As don't work...
Ah, I see. I had always heard that the film rights to LOTR were sold, but not The Hobbit....which makes sense. Otherwise how could the Rankin-Bass one have ever been made? (duh!) So I suppose it's now MGM and how much $$$ they want...
Now I'm sure I just missed something, but I seem to recall that Christopher Tolkien was preventing The Hobbit from being filmed. Did he agree and now it's MGM that's the issue?
I guess I don't know for sure, but when I mentioned on the Saabnet that I was looking at a 2001 9-5, I was told by a couple of people about this issue. I'll have to check into it further as it seems like one of the most common...
