This forum is dead what happened to everyone?
Darned UBISoft just won't get with the program!
Anyone know about Splinter Cell: Pandora's Tomorrow as to whether it's 16:9 (original wasn't)? Anyone heard anything about Fight Night?
Quote: but what i'm wondering is, since the F38310 (which i also have) upconverts 720p (but doesn't accept it natively) to 1080i - will this game be 16:9 on my TV?? Nope, in a word. I've given up trying, WSB2k3...
The FS8310 is mine, he has another model (52 inch RCA Scenium). He SEEMS knowledgeable, actually, not a child, so I presume he's legit. But if you're sure my RCA model upconverts, then I don't know what to say. Jon knows his stuff...
Well, then THAT explains it I'll bet. Your set must either be 720P capable - OR at least capable of upconverting to 1080i - to get 16:9 on this game. The rest of us are outa luck.

There's a guy on the Sega board who SWEARS he's getting it in 16:9 on his RCA HDTV (different model) with the EXACT same dash settings as me (720P turned off). How in the world could THAT be??? I tried EVERY combo of dash and screen...
Well boys, then there's no other possibility I can see. This title MUST display in 16:9 when in 720P mode, but NOT when in 480P. A hell of alot of HDTV sets don't support 720P, I've got the RCA (1 year old) and a Mitsubishi...
Jon, everything is properly set in the dashboard: "widescreen", "480P", and "1020i" are all enabled. Many other titles play fine. The XBox over-rides my TV screen settings so it shouldn't matter what setting it's in, but I tried all...
