I've heard this is an issue w/ the DVI to HDMI cables. Monster, Belkin, whatever. Some work, some don't. I have no idea why it's situational, but apparently that's what is happening.
I know there are better tv's out there, but for the price and size...it's still a widescreen HD ready projection tv for a steal of a price.
You may want to get a screen protector and an extra warranty on it too.
Honestly, I'd save my money and get the 770. THX certification doesn't mean isn't a better product...it's just certified to meet standards.

Only thing I need to do is put some dynamat on my big old picture windows. Watching anything w/ 1 of my dual 10" on gets annoying when the whole house shakes.
I wanted to add in, that if you aren't 100% stuck on the DLP, you should take a look at Hitachi's vs810 series of LCD Projection tv's. I compare the vs810 to the 85w samsungs on a daily basis, and I have to say, the Hitachi is a better...
