I initially tried to load disk 3, in order to watch the History channel documentary, in my Cyberhome 500 but it wouldn't go past the "...views of the individuals in this presentation..." screen. So popped it into my trusty Toshiba 3108...

I bought this movie on DVD blind after hearing a friend recommend it and seeing this thread. My take:

I shopped for the cheapest SVHS I could find last year. My reasoning being I would only use it for archiving until I could afford a recordable DVD.
I ended up going with a Phillips SVHS (sorry I can't remember the model right now)...
Can I use my Direct TV card in another Direct TV receiver? I want to borrow a friend's receiver for the weekend (its one of the HDTV ones) but he will not let me use it with his card in it. I have the dish that points to all three...
I agree with what others have said before. It is simple economics. The studios are willing to supply the DVD with "x" features at "y" price. We as consumers are willing to pay "y" price for "x" features.
My only beef withthe 2 disk set is that it lacked the Scotish Snare Drums playing over the opening sequence like the theatrical version and original VHS and DVD release had. But, it may bother me only because I am a percussionist and...
