I bought the original korean release from megastar and loved it.
I think it says region 3 on the box but is actually region 0. fairly decent transfer and subs from what I recall.
my tv (a toshiba 27afx54) doesn't have per input settings, and the black level noted in the yamaha level doesn't seem to change the black level output. from what I can tell, it's simple a black level expansion setting.

After buying a new dvd player (yamaha s550), I notice it's brightness level is much lower than my old player (a panasonic rp62).
if I raise the brightness on my tv up to the right point for my dvd player, cable tv is way too bright,...

I'm thinking about the yamaha s550 or s5750. would like it to play divx, be black, and put out a really nice picture (480i).

I've watched the CE disc a several times now on two setups and didn't run into any lip synching problems with any three of the english audio tracks either.
I own paradigm studios, don't think rockets are nearly as attractive as everyone else does, agree that axioms are butt, and I get a hard on looking at the bare front maple / silver energy connoisseur speakers.
They sound quite nice...
hmm... this might explain why I've been waiting for titans to show up for 3 weeks at my local shop. I'm thinking they'll never arrive with those new ones showing up soon.
