as long as you protect it from electrical surges and didn't physically damage it - i.e. dropping it,moisture etc. It should last quite sometime, probably decades. The interface would be obsolete before you'd have to worry about the HD...
I use yahoo music. $7-$10 a month. I don't use it with a portable music player. I believe they have a free trial if you wanted to give it a shot.

Day after I read this the guy two house down from put up all most hte exact same thing. It's great we don't have to go anywhere to look at good lights. I don't think anybody knows about it yet as traffic isn't up at all.
If only we could get it in HD in the US.
Letting the filter run is very important for getting the water clear again also. And clean it often ( if its a cartridge filter).
