Unfortunately, the Sony manual states "An audio signal input to the HDMI IN jack is output through the speaker terminals, HDMI TV out jack, and PHONES jack. It is not output through any other audio outs." What do you think of a FiiO E5...
Thanks, Jason. I will give that a try tonight. Do you think there would be a noticeable difference in picture and sound by not using HDMI interface? I'm still hopeful that someone can come up with a solution that taps into the speaker...
Thank you for having an interest in my problem. I can indeed pick up an audio signal from the TV set. The problem is, however, that there is a very slight timing difference between the sound from the TV and the sound from the receiver....
