I don't know much about the Samsung DVDP231, But it does have Faroudja DCDi. And it's under $100.00 I would like to see some tests on this model.

Manny, I thought I was the only one still using the DVP-S300. Love this machine! I just wish it would play my dvd -r's.

I'm also just getting into anime. The one's I like so far seem to be, "Ghost in the shell" "Vampire Hunter D", "Jin Rho", "Gundam Wing","Armitage","PatLabor". I'm still finding more all the time.
