I've seen both. The rounded spine seems to be more common. It's nice to see that I'm not the only person to have noticed.
The retail price is higher. With at least one extra disc, 'The Return of the King' may be even more expensive.

I'd be surprised if those were on there, since they're just edited suites taken from the rest of the score. The unused cues in the suites from the last two films will hopefully be returned to their proper places.
