Blu-ray is like a box of chocolates.
Pop a disc into your player and you never know...
Fortunately for the Best Picture of 1994 (in addition to Actor in a Lead Role, Directing, Film Editing, Visual Effect and Writing), Forrest Gump raises the average of Paramount's Sapphire Series to a rousing 66.6%.
Like the earlier released Blu-ray of Braveheart, Forrest Gump is a Blu-ray treasure, with both visual and aural elements beautifully rendered.
This is a film that should need no review for content, as its past history speaks for itself.
Wonderful Blu-ray.
Great film.
Hopefully the next Sapphire release will bring the average up to 75%, and those following on a continuing upward climb.
Highly Recommended.

I'm glad I picked this one up.....the regular case version....didn't bother with the box of chocolates box since it's a waste of space on the shelf. Can't wait to give this one a spin in the near future.
Recently watched- BSG: Season 4.0[BD], Starship Troopers 3: Marauder[BD], The Happening[BD], Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (IMAX)[BD], An American Werewolf In London[BD]

I neglected to note that FG comes with a $10 rebate for those who purchased the SD version. Makes an upgrade painless.

I love this review. Well written and informative (with a little bit of math thrown in for the stat lover in us all). Thanks, RAH.

Point taken. Should have further delineated to "new" Blu-ray releases. I'm quite happy with those particular re-issues.
