Help with grenades being tossed behind you

I notice people are able to throw grenades as they're running in multiplayer...then throw them behind themas they are walking away. How do I do this, just letting them fall behind as i am running? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure this thread is either in the wrong forum completely, or was meant to be made in an already-made thread about a specific game.  As it stands, this makes no sense...

 Being from Canada, Josh, a relatively peaceful country, I'm not surprised you didn't understand this. In America, it's very common. I constantly have people lobbing grenades at me when I'm walking down Sunset Blvd or on Rodeo Drive.

God, I hate this when it happens, it just completely ruins my day.

Sometimes its dangerous enough here on the HTF.
