MK2's "Chaplin Revue" DVD playback issues

"The Chaplin Revue" is the only MK2 Chaplin I've acquired so far (the reported PAL-to-NTSC issues have scared me away).  Tonight I tried to watch it on my 47" 16x9 DTV, and it was blown up way too big (for lack of a better description).  My JVC DVD player ordinarily does a great job of scaling images, but this one was awful.  The player happens to have a zoom control, so I zoomed out the first click, and it was the proper fit.  What the #$%&?!?  I refuse to watch a whole disc's worth of material with the zoom icon visible the entire time.  Has anyone else experienced this with either "Chaplin Revue", or any of the MK2 Chaplin titles?  If this is an authoring defect (which I'd be shocked if it wasn't) was there ever an exchange program?  Thanks!!!

I think it was covered in this thread: www.hometheaterforum.com/forum/thread/289588/trouble-with-chaplin-gold-rush-dvd about problems playing The Gold Rush. That thread was about the Warner version, but it may be the same issue with the PAL one.
