I recently broke the receiver part of this 5.1 home theatre system, Will the speakers and subwoofer work with another receiver or not? Also the subwoofer would need to be plugged into the receiver with speaker wire, where (what input) should they go into?
What do you recommend I do? Do not want to spend too much money?
btw- I am not a tech guy, so feel free to explain anything you choose. THANKS

I did a quick look of the manual (and I mean Quick  ) and it looks like the speakers would hook uo to a new receiver but the sub is passive (no internal amplifier like most subs have) and there's really no way to hook it up to a different receiver and integrate it properly with the other speakers. Problem is there's no way to adjust the crossover. That's the main reason these htib's are not real popular around here. Hard to add on and if one thing breaks the whole thing becomes pretty much useless. Sorry.

You didn't state a budget. But you could purchase a new reciever and self powerd sub and use the speakers from your Samsung for 5.1 for now.
