I have a Yamaha RX-V565 receiver. I am using it as an HDMI switch for multiple components, with the HDMI output going to my television. I'd like to hook up my MacBook Pro to use it for Netflix and Hulu. The problem is the MacBook Pro has a DVI video output. I got a DVI to HDMI cable, and have the video working fine. I can run audio to the receiver without a problem. My problem is that I cannot get both to run at the same time. I either need to know a different way to set this up, or am hoping someone here has a creative solution to this problem.
I only have one DVI input for my TV (no HDMI, but I'm converting HDMI to DVI from the receiver).
