Hey guys and gals,

I'm new to the forum (been lurking for 2 months), and I'm from Dealzon.com deals site.

Starting today, I'm going to share the most relevant deals I can find for you guys right here in the Bargains and Deals forum. I'm going to start with HDTV's since I already have some momentum in that category, but I will gladly take requests and regularly hunt for deals on whatever you guys want. I'll also try to respond to some of the requests I see asking for deals on various products.

The following deal is a 42-inch 1080p LCD for $500 from Best Buy

You can get it delivered for somewhere around $70, or you can pick it up from the store.

Let me know if you guys know anything about Dynex quality, or your overall perception on the less known brand names. I'm also open to formatting suggestions when I post deals or preferred brand names. I can either find the absolute cheapest products on the market, or just look for the brands that matter to you guys.

Thank you for the link, this is definately ;0 in my price range for an HDTV. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but does anybody have any thoughts on this television?

Thanks again!

You are not hijacking, I encourage anyone to continue discussion from any deal threads I start.

From what I can tell, Dynex is Best Buy's house brand. It's cheap - and I gather that the big LCD manufacturers segment LCD panels to various brand names depending on the ultimate build quality coming off the factory line. I don't have any information backing this up, so if anyone has any more info on this, please chime in.

If you search Google, AVSForum, etc.. you'll get a mixed range of reviews on house brands. People will argue that you should never sacrifice quality when making such a big purchase. I personally think it often comes down to chance and more often than not, you'll be fine with a house brand name, but sometimes (maybe less than 10% of the time) you'll get a unit that just gives you problems.

STILL, this is the season for big discounts, so I will be posting some bigger brand names on sale this week.

Hey thanks for all the info. How do I get it for the $500 price? I clicked that link, put it in the cart and it still rings up at 550... I'm still open to more TV deals, thanks again.

Hey Ryan,

The Dynex promotion was for last week. Best Buy updates their deals every Monday, and they raised the price to $550 on this one. Rest assured, there will be plenty more good deals as we get close to Holiday Season.
