Help with Samsung 52" Compact Theater Projection Tv

I recently got a new TV and everything works fine on it except the picture, I believe it may be a tube tv but I'm not entirely sure, the picture is in black and white and occasionally if you change the video mode that it's on then the color comes back but it hasn't been doing that for the past couple of days. I'm just wondering if I may need to get a new fuse for it or something. I looked on the back and the Model No. is SPT-F21J and I can't find it no matter where I look on the web. Earlier today I turned it on and it started off black and white then after a couple of minutes the color came back, but since then no matter how long the tv is on for it stays black and white. Can anyone help me out? I'll give more info as needed. Thanks!

A search for that model number (and many permutations of the letter/number combination) turned up nothing.  It's not a tube TV, they never got any bigger than 36" (and a 52" tube would weigh about a ton!).

How is the video signal connected to the TV?  Are you using an HDMI cable, component cables, or something else?  It could be a loose connection or faulty cable.  Have you tried switching to a different input?  What about hooking up a DVD or Blu-Ray player?  Finally, if you have a replacement cable, you should try swapping it out, and make extra sure that the cable is correctly seated in both the TV and the source.

It's not using HDMI cables, there's a date on the back of the TV for 1998. And there's no color on anything whether it be a DVD Player, Xbox, or even just regular cable TV everything starts off as black and white for about 20 minutes then if the TV is knocked or bumped then the color sometimes comes back on. The only reason why I thought the TV may have been tube was due to how big the back of the TV is. When I look into the back of the TV I see a Green glowing light like thing, and Blue, they're rather large as well. But no matter what I plug into the TV or where it stays black and white until knocked.
