Hello. I FINALLY have my home theater finished, and I sat down to watch a movie on my new Samsung HL67A750 DLP and noticed that in really dark scenes the dark areas seem to be a bit "grainy". Is this normal? I was watching Transformers (I've heard this has reference quality audio and video) and during some of the scenes is where I noticed it. By adjusting some of the settings I was able to tone it down a bit, but if the background is extremely dark I still notice it. Should I be noticing this, or are my setting still off or is something else potentially wrong? Just curious since this is a new set for me. BTW, I'm running my blu-ray from a Panasonic DMP-55k. Thanks!

-- but depending on the content/title, grain will (and *should*) be there. Again, can't really speak for Transformers, but some readily noticeable grain showing up in dark scenes is a common/normal enough thing as that's just a matter of physics and the limitations of shooting film in dimly lit situations.
