I'd be very interested in this one although I have never actually seen the movie yet -- only ever listened to the CD (for the movie), which is actually quite-to-very different from the original (non-movie) renditions.
I passed on the DVD because I heard bad things about the quality. Hopefully, this will be much better -- and worth the purchase.

Can't remember what it was now -- it was a long while back. I guess it's very possible that the complaints were not entirely fair due to the available source material. Since I've never actually seen the movie concert myself, I really don't have anything to go by for a reference.

FWIW, I'm not looking for a squeaky clean, modern HD look (a la Police: Certifiable). Just want the film to be presented as it should be w/ its original look (in the best possible shape it ever was... so basically, just the "same as it ever was..."

). Well, admittedly, I guess it would be rather disappointing if the PQ is utterly lacking in resolution and looks more like VHS video...

Thanks -- and looking forward to the review!

Haha... Duely noted!

And thanks again for the quality review!

And oh, I should also thank Jason for this thread's opening comments/short review. Hopefully, the various comments about the PQ will temper my expectations enough so that I can enjoy this concert film for what it is (and was originally intended to be)...

PS: Jason, I never looked too carefully at your new avatar for this new HTF format, but did think it looked familiar.

So will you be changing it to the Stop Making Sense cover now?
