Surround sound options for PS3

i guess i would have to consider myself a novice.  i know i need a reciever or a all in one package with a digital in connection for the audio and to allow 5.1, not fussed about 7.1 so happy with just HDMI for Video.

I have a budget of around £200 - £300, therefore i would probably need to go for a all in one package (i would prefer a reciever though)

Your help with this would be great.  What are the best option available to me within that budget that will connect to my PS3?  Oh!, i would prefer satelite speakers,

I hope you can make a few suggestions for me,

p.s. apologies if this threat has existed before, however the newest technology out there is preferred

thanks

So at the lower end of the price scale i'd recommend the Logitech Z-5500 speakers. I have a set in my bedroom and can attest to their quality for the low price. I think you'd be quite happy with these through a digital TOSlink connection. At the high price end i'd personally go for the Bowers & Wilkins MT30 if you can find them used. I actually saw someone selling a set for about $500 USD in the sales/trade forum. Those would be really amazing but are a little above your price range. My last option in the middle would be the KEF 3000 series.

PS: All the mentioned speakers are satalites.
