Pioneer VSX-84TXSi - AMP ERR

Hello All. I was given a broken VSX-84TXSi. The issue is that it has an AMP ERR but it's different from any of the other errors that I've read about. After about 3-5 seconds of the receiver being on it shows amp err and then cycles back to showing the input. It never turns off completely. I can switch inputs but the same thing will happen at each input. I can pull up the setup menu without any issues.

I have soldering experience as well as pc repair so I think I would be able to get this repaired if possible. Just need a little direction. Thanks for your help.

Have you tried resetting the system? Worth a try......... Try this:

1 Switch the receiver into standby.
2 While holding down ENTER on the front
panel, press  STANDBY/ON.
The display shows RESET  NO .
3 Select ‘RESET’ using PRESET +/–, then
press ENTER on the front panel.
The display shows RESET? OK.
4 Press ENTER to confirm.
OK appears in the display to indicate that the receiver
has been reset to the factory default settings.
• Note that all settings will be saved, even if
the receiver is unplugged.

This reset is for the Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K, but i'd guess this reset would work for all Pioneers.
