Band of Brothers on Blue Ray

what can I say but...WOW !

Having owned and absolutely loved, and enjoyed watching Band of Brothers on DVD

I read some great reviews about the Blue Ray edition of Band of Brothers and dutifully traded in my DVD boxset (for Gladiator on Blue) and purchased the Blue Ray set at a killer price from a large on-line retailer who shall remain nameless

only watched the first 2 episodes, but within minutes of watching the first episode "kurahee" I was gobsmacked by the increase in clarity, detail and atmosphere

with some of the movies I have traded from DVD to Blue, it has not really made much difference to the overall experience, especially with a good up-scaling Blue Ray player

but the difference in picture quality with Band of Brothers from DVD to Blue is very noticeable, I also tried some of the special feature on the first disc and the feature where the veterans "pop up" (picture in picture) at key points was very cool

Band of Brothers is an awesome show, and upping the picture quality has made it even better

I guess if you have an average movie, it does not add much (moving from SD to HD) but for an awesome show its even better?

Hey, Rob!

Here are two existing threads where this release is being discussed:

A Few Words About...Band of Brothers (Blu-ray)

WHV Band of Brothers Announcement (Blu-ray)

If you did a search for them, you might have missed them because of your misspelling of "Blu-ray."  It is an awesome upgrade, indeed.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Actually, the misspelling to which he was referring was the addition of the letter "e" at the end of "Blu".
