Rocket Robin Hood is back!

I am very excited to see the expected release date for Rocket Robin Hood as November 17th. I  thought this title was dead but apparently not. For those of us who love the cartoons of the 1960's, this is an important addition. I would argue that there are great cartoons in every decade but none so profuse as the 60's.

How about Marine Boy and Johnny Cipher in Dimension Zero next? I believe Warner owns both.

i hope it is price competively. The last time it was going to be release they wanted like $60/70 for the show. I think that was way too high of price for that show. I like to show, but, i would only pay $35 top for each season.

I think it is now priced $29.99 Canadian per set.

that is a good price! I may look at buying the set. I love Rocket Robin Hood! I remember global tv and teletoon retro in Canada used to play the episodes. I was big fan of wil scarlett, who's voice was the actor that play Johan on the Swiss Family Robinson (Canada).

Well this is one of the most frustrating release fiascos I have been following. It appears if this title actually gets released it will not be as good a deal as originally thought. It looks like the show will be broken into at least 4 sets. Why not follow the trend of wrenching every penny out of buyers you can get?

It is an important release for me and collectors of this genre and time period. I hope we eventually get it all but, one of the main problems with multiple releases is that many times they don't complete releasing the whole series. For example,  how many years is it going to take to finish collecting Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea?

i totally agree with dhammer's post. I have several series that only one season was released: WKRP, Benson, Fantasy Island, Fall Guy, etc.

I am also very frustrated with tv shows split into volumes. It is very frustrating paying X$ for partial season and then paying the same for the second volume. I rather just buy the seasons.

I also too would like Rockert Robin Hood, because i also grew up with the show. I like to see more of the classic cartoons released. I am still looking for Speed Bugggy, Jabberjaw, New Adventures of Gilligan, Jeannie, Emergency +4, etc. I have been buying the saturday morning cartoon volumes, but, i am disappointed in some of shows on dvd. I would love to see the herculoids released, because it is a classic sci-fi cartoon. The studio release DIno Boy/Space Ghost and Jonnie Quest, but, not the herculoids.

We must be around the same age. I wouldn't mind having all those shows as well. I am grateful for all the shows that were released. There are a number I would still like to see and the biggest disappointment is unfinished series which is far too many.

i would agree with you about our ages. I am to this date a fan of 1960s/1970s/1980s tv. I love classic cartoons, sci-fi, drama, nighttime soaps, comedies and family sitcoms. I have no use for today's tv or reality tv and focus all my tv watching on dvds and classic shows. I have 30+ dvds related to cartoons.
