By the end of the series, it'll make sense to you.

Well if THAT can be explained, I don't see what the problem is with the concept of boxing! :)

I foresee: WE'RE all Cylons! The BSG crew left Earth after we blew the crap out of it in a nuclear war. Or something.

Come on LoveFilm, where's my next disc???

Elvis returns from the dead to say: "Objectively looking at the world, you're the only people alive on the earth today. All the people who created tradition, created countries, created rules ... THEM #@&%ERS ARE DEAD. Why don't you start your own world while you got the chance?"

Another question I want answered:

Warning Spoiler! Click to show
Why doesn't President Roslyn inject herself with baby blood again to cure her cancer?? Even if it's only temporary, it's better than dying.
The more time that passes, the more shocked I am that The Face of the Enemy hasn't been included in any official releases. It's weird because it's really just one 35 minute episode, but not only that, it's also really excellent and (unlike The Resistance) has an immediate and direct impact on the events that follow it (and also answers a question from the show!).

I thought it was really good. Sort of like a little "horror" episode. What's going on Universal? Don't want to pay the writers?? :(

^ Regarding your spoiler, I haven't listened to them but that may be something that is talked about in a commentary. I just thought that the audience is supposed to assume that they tried that and it didn't work a second time. I guess that would raise the question, was it the hands of the gods/fate/destiny/whatever that saved her the first time.

Where does The Plan come in? It's to be released soon. It sounds like an alternative view point from a cylon stance like Flags of Our Fathers/Letters from Iwo Jima.

I've just finished 4.0, starting 4.5 on my one episode per week schedule.

I haven't seen it yet but from what I've heard, The Plan doesn't take place at one point in time. It shows the Cylon POV of different events from the first two seasons. For example, the audience has seen the attack on the colonies from the Galactica's perspective but now we'll (presumably) see it from the Cylons' perspective.

If someone were watching the show for the first time, it would probably be best to watch The Plan after the series is over. I'd elaborate but it would tread into spoiler territory.

Damn you, Jane Espensen, you know exactly how to make me cry, and how to me make me gut-laugh, too. I haven't felt power like that since Buffy.

Note to Ron Moore: When you do the super-special edition of Battlestar, please put as many deleted scenes back in as you can. Deadlock actually needed the scenes showing how frakked up it was in Dogtown. The marines being overpowered by the crowd, the Sons of Aries coming in and taking over, the argument with the Adamas about Centurions... The pay off from all that (Gaius getting weapons) doesn't really make any sense without it. I was totally perplexed until I watched the deleted scenes (thanks for including them!).

Now, if someone can just explain to me how

Boomer and Ellen Tigh knew precisely how to find the fleet...!

(Although it's a testament to the writing that I'd almost forgotten and almost didn't care by the end!)

Only three more episodes til I'm done! (Apart from the The Plan, which I'm looking forward to.)

^ With regards to your spoiler, it's been a while since I've seen the episode but wouldn't they have had a rendezvous point planned in advance?

I don't venture into the SD section of the forum much, so this is the first time reading this thread.  I wish I had read it sooner, because I could have tossed in my two cents about the placement of Razor.  For the record, I would have, and do, suggest that you view Crossroads: Part 2, followed by the Razor Flashbacks (there are a few extra moments in the flashbacks that are *not* in Razor itself), followed by Razor, and finally onto season 4 (or season 4, episode 3, if you are being technical) , and "He That Believeth in Me."

Without getting into spoilers (I wouldn't dare spoil one of the greatest shows ever), I feel the speech of the Hybrid works much better when viewed right before the events of "He That Believeth in Me," and after the big reveal in Crossroads, as it sets the stage for the sprint to the finish, so to speak.

When you are done with the final episode, I suggest you go back and watch the conversation between Starbuck and the Hybrid.  I know I got goosebumps re-watching it.

Two more suggestions: pick up a copy of "The Plan," as well as the pilot for "Caprica."

Also, if you have an afternoon (or more!) to blow, check out the season threads for the show--some of the best discussion ever on this forum occurs in those threads.

For some laughs, scope out the thread made just after the re-imaging was announced: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/forum/thread/125076/battlestar-galactica-remake-time-to-weep-openly .  There are some real gems in there ("They changed the freaking helmets!"), and most of the posters in there were quickly forced to eat their words--and a few slinked away in shame after spitting out so much vitriol :)
