Ok, but what about the pic(video)? Do i run the HDMI to my TV? In other words, will my tv recognize the other dvd player but play the sound through the system? Thanks for your help..

The Sony DAV-HDX589W does not have any additional video inputs, so yes, you would need to run the video feed from the second DVD player directly to the TV.

When you want to watch a DVD from the second player, you'd have to set the input on the TV to match the input coming from the new DVD player, and set the input on the Home Theater system to match whichever digital input you connect the DVD player to.

That was easy enough! Yeah, I took my optical cable from DISH box, plugged it into the dvd player, and then took my HDMI cable and plugged that into also. Whola!

Thanks guys for your help...
