Good Day All!

I just purchased this BD-player yesterday and installed the latest firmware which is suppose to allow DTS-MA decoding I'm utilizing the 5.1 of the 7.1 analog outs due to my receiver don't able to decode Dolby true HD or DTS-MA in the set up you have to select pcm out which i'm using or bit stream re-encoding or bitstream audophile I'm i using correct audio output because i played the new Gladiator on BD and it really didn't impress me I've never hear the new codec's but have hear the core's for year what i'm i doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Did you do the speaker setup in the player?

There's really not much difference at all between high bit rate core & lossless, you may well not be able to hear any improvement.  Most difference if any comes from choices made for the mix itself, not the compression scheme.  Lossy compression schemes like DD/DTS are designed so that the lost part is supposed to be nearly inaudible to most people (sounds masked by other sounds, etc.)
