Couldn't find a old thread with a title suitable to bump to discuss today's news, so I figured I'd create a new thread.
This show is one of several that are on my radar of sets I'd like to eventually acquire, and I had a few questions about the DVD sets that I've been meaning to ask since I presume the disc will be untouched for the complete collection.
Are the episodes uncut, sydicated prints, or a mix of both?
Are there any issues with content that has been cut on the season releases? I've heard of a lot of complaints with Gomer Pyle for example (I assume because of the music Jim Nabors occasionally sings?). I can't think of there being anything that would've required such editing on this show, but I'd rather ask now rather than discover later that its a disappointment.
And I can't imagine there being any problems with what I'm about to ask, but I thought that with My Three Sons too, and the season 1 sets turned into a disappointing disaster. Is there any danger of the problems encountered by CBS shows like My Three Sons and later sets of The Fugitive (I think all season sets of Hogan's Heroes were already out there before the hacked apart DVD sets started coming for The Fugitive when they got scared of music rights) coming back to haunt this CBS release now?
Or will it be a quality job like CBS's recent Petticoat Junction releases?
