Hogan's Heroes - The Complete Series

Couldn't find a old thread with a title suitable to bump to discuss today's news, so I figured I'd create a new thread.

This show is one of several that are on my radar of sets I'd like to eventually acquire, and I had a few questions about the DVD sets that I've been meaning to ask since I presume the disc will be untouched for the complete collection.

Are the episodes uncut, sydicated prints, or a mix of both?

Are there any issues with content that has been cut on the season releases? I've heard of a lot of complaints with Gomer Pyle for example (I assume because of the music Jim Nabors occasionally sings?). I can't think of there being anything that would've required such editing on this show, but I'd rather ask now rather than discover later that its a disappointment.

And I can't imagine there being any problems with what I'm about to ask, but I thought that with My Three Sons too, and the season 1 sets turned into a disappointing disaster. Is there any danger of the problems encountered by CBS shows like My Three Sons and later sets of The Fugitive (I think all season sets of Hogan's Heroes were already out there before the hacked apart DVD sets started coming for The Fugitive when they got scared of music rights) coming back to haunt this CBS release now?

Or will it be a quality job like CBS's recent Petticoat Junction releases?

Leo,

I also didn't see an old thread to bump but I bumped that "CBS/P" thread with the news yesterday.  Here's the post from that thread:

The transfers on this show are outstanding.  I'm almost thru S3 and to my knowledge, they're all uncut.  I've seen these eps many times in the past in syndication but this is the first time since the original air dates that I've seen them uncut and far more pristine than those "antenna" days.

For anyone that's interested in this show and doesn't own the previously released season sets, it's a sure thing buy.

I see where CBS/P is including a bonus disc with as yet unknown content.  I guess it's another example of the studios including bonus mat'l in the complete-series sets with the ones that bought the s/s sets being out of luck for any bonus mat'l.  For me, It's not an issue since I wouldn't have waited this long for the complete-season set anyway.

I'm a 50's - mid-90's TV/DVD Collector. One DVD show since '96: Firefly

The Fugitive/See Hollywood & Die: [Miles] "What, you think I'm crazy?!" [Kimble] "Next question."
