I have been playing this game since it first came out but I am a little surprised at how fast they have released their last two map packs. It seems like the second one only came out about 5 weeks ago and now a third one is coming out this Friday. I understand they are just making money and I love the new map packs but the time between the second and third one was not very long. I just wish they would have released the second one a couple of months earlier or wait at least another month so the second map pack could start getting old.
What are your thoughts?

I liked "Modern Warfare" more then "World at War" but I find the online play to be a blast on both of them. My kids love playing the Zombie maps and when I called them this morning from work they had already downloaded map pack 3. I on the other hand am not a big fan of the Zombies but it seems like I am in the minority.
There is so much hype being applied to MW2. I already put my mine on reserve and hope to be playing the day it comes out.

I'm brand new to all this, having just bought my PS3 last night and downloaded the playable demo to this (and frankly, got my ass handed to me in short order, they really changed how these 1st person shooters work from the first Call Of Duty on the XBox didn't they? :P) What I'm wondering is, I saw there were map upgrades, are these full blown playable levels? I thought they where just death match type templates. I'm curious how these work.

Russell,
The maps at least for the xbox 360 are just playable levels for multiplayer games. There are not any new levels to play as a solo player.
