The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

The Specials

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Thanks, guys! It looks like nothing for me this week. The BD of Big Trouble In Little China is calling my name, but not for twenty bucks. I will Netflix it for now and then buy it at some point down the road if it surfaces at a considerably lower price. If I am going to double-dip on this flick, I want to make sure that all of the "special feature" content from my old 2-disc collector's edition got ported over. Otherwise, I'll probably pass.

I'm not a huge fan of Big Trouble In Little China but my love of John Carpenter means that I'll probably grab it.

Thanks for the prices, guys!

Fred Meyer has a special where you get a free galon of milk with the purchase of Race to Witch Mountain.

I haven't seen that film....is there a joke in there about milk someplace?

There are reports elsewhere that Costco will have both of the new Sony/Columbia Icons of Screwball Comedy for $13.99 each, which would be splendid if true.

Thanks as always, Mike!

I got the disc and checked it out, here's the differences:

-Oddly, the Blu-ray uses a shortened version of Trailer B. On the Blu-ray it runs approximately 1:00 and on the DVD it runs approximately 1:30.

-The TV commercials and most of the text based stuff (the production notes, the American Cinematographer and Cinefex articles, the cast and crew filmographies and the DVD production credits) are dropped for the Blu-ray. What's weird is that the TV spots are listed as special features on the back of the case so I wonder if they're hidden as an easter egg (although the listing could just as easily be a misprint).

-On the plus side, the Blu-ray has two NEW features: an isolated score in DTS 5.1 and a still gallery with more than 250 pictures.

Thanks, Travis! So, if I double-dip, I still have to hold on to the DVD. In other words, at least for me, it won't be happening any time soon unless the price drops to $10 or less. I can no longer cost-justify these $20+ Blu-ray catalog title upgrades unless I can unload the comparable DVD without losing any content. With all of the additional storage capacity of a Blu-ray disc (one of the format's selling points, BTW) it seems to me that ALL earlier DVD content should be able to be ported over. As always, YMMV, but that's my opinion and I'm sticking by it.

Thanks as always Mike & Patrick.

I'm to check-out The Soloist from Redbox and pick-up Race To Witch Mountain on BD.

Disney has printable coupons for Race To Witch Mountain: $5 off the DVD or $10 off the BD.

Link: http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/liveaction/racetowitchmountain/couponoffer/?cm\p=dmov_dvd_rtwm_url_coupon_a

To print the coupon(s) you need to install the Bricks Coupon Printer app (or have it already installed).
Note: Each coupon is generated with an unique authentication code, so a PDF version of the coupon cannot be posted as it would not be valid.

Time for a return and re-buy if you've already picked it up.

Dang. . .I saw "The Beast" and thought maybe we'd finally see an OAR release of that great '80s movie about the Soviet tank crew lost in Afghanistan.  But no, it's some trashy monster flick.  :(
