Not a question because this feature is on Blu. It's full title is Man on the Moon - 40th Anniversary Edition. This is with Walter Cronkite. There is little info on Amazon about it, as usual. It seems to indicate this is a compilation of the reporting done at the time by CBS, including of course, Walter. If so, I think this would be very interesting if it can put you back in the moment.
Anyone have this disc? What's the video quality or does it even matter much if this is a replay of 1960's television?
I remember many, many years ago the cable company I was with at the time telecast "As it Happened" or something like that. It consisted of NBC's coverage of JFK's assasination starting with the first bulletin. It was no more than a re-broadcast of about 4-6 hours of the coverage. No editing, no narration, just the coverage as it was originally broadcast. I wish they had done that with CBS.
I doubt this disc is like that, though I wouldn't mind it. I was in Thailand (Army) for the moon landing and have never seen the coverage in total as it happened.
