Blu-Ray Playback on Analog TV (PS3)

Is this possible? Particularly with the recent switch to digital. My gut tells me no simply because BD movies are HD native, but would someone please verify. Thanx. 
There are three things I can't stand: 1) Intolerance; and 2) People who can't count.

Absolutely it's possible.  All BD players that I'm aware of, including PS3, have 480i setting & composite output for older equipment.  In the case of the PS3 you just need the correct AV cable which you presumably already are using for games.

It's just that it wouldn't look much better than regular DVD after this.  You might buy BDs now if upgrading set soon, to avoid temptation to buy the same movie twice.

As Stephen responded you can set the BluRay player to 480i and your analog TV will display the interlaced video.  Prices have dropped for BluRay players and LCD TV's and for less than $600.00 you can purchase both at BestBuy or WalMart.  They won't be name brand players and LCD's but they will display excellent 720P video.  I recently purchased a Samsung BluRay player and an off-brand 32" LCD for my son from WalMart for around $600.00.  The 720P picture quality is excellent as with most small LCD's.  The name brands really excel when you get into the 40" or larger LCD's.

Thanx for the replies everyone. I've got an interesting problem. A little background first.

I've used my PS3 with an Infocus SP4805 in my former home theater. We are in between housing and I figured that blu-rays would have to wait until we ended up in a home with a basement because I thought I couldn't use my PS3 with my Sanyo Analog TV. After your helpful information, I was eager to hook it up and start enjoying my blus again. Here's the problem: I hooked up the PS3 with the component cable (my Sharp has component input), but the video signal was distorted. No problem with the audio. I then tried the composit cable and again, audio is fine, but now there is no video. My thought is that the PS3 is set to display video via component rendering the composit video dead. Question - is there a way to remotely select the video output or reset the system or something? I'm dyin' ova heah!

Turn it off, hold power button 5 seconds until it beeps.
