Which DVDs seem to be advertised to death, week after week?

Have mercy!

Do you ever notice that some of the same DVDs are constantly being pushed at both physical B&M retailers and online retailers?

Is there such a glut of these things?  They are like cockroaches!   They get special attention week after week after week; year after year.   Are we all supposed to buy 2 or 3 copies each?  It seems like some of the same titles have shown up in flyers or on end caps for a decade.  Then they pop-up again in "The Weekly Roundups" when they go on sale again!  Can you add to this list?

  • Space Cowboys - My gosh, there must be 6 gagillion copies of this floating around in used bins.  And now it's showing up constantly on sale on BD!
  • 300 - One of the first HD-DVD and BD showcase titles.  But we're just in time for a double dip.  Hooray.  This will be a favorite in Sunday sales flyers for at least 5 more years!
  • The Matrix - I swear I saw at least 100 used copies of this at a single FYE location.  Why?  They will never sell this many copies of this used movie.

Others?

I'm tired of seeing Adam Sandler's mug plastered all over posters and such promoting his movies on DVD wherever I go. This dude aint that funny. 300 is another one. Its like Warner Bros. favorite movie or something. I saw this recently for $47.99 (!). Mind you it was that deluxe edition with all the useless junk and that ugly box that will need a special shelf to accomodate it. Seriously, who's gonna shell out that kinda dough for an SD DVD? You'll be seeing it in bargain bins before the year is out
