50" or 47" ? any help would be great

 i am looking to get a panasonic G10 plasma, either 46" or 50". my viewing distance would vary between 7.5ft to 8.5ft. 

am i splitting hairs here trying to decide between 46" and 50", or would i see a real difference in viewing quality if i make the "right" decision? and if there will be a big difference, what size should i select? 

any thoughts or comments would be very very helpful.

I think you are splitting hairs a bit :).  For what it's worth, when picking between sizes, I can't remember almost anyone on any forum regretting going for the larger size, so I would go with 50".
