MGMHD just ran a gorgeous widescreen print of GENTLEMEN MARRY BRUNETTES. The film stars Jane Russell and Jeanne Crain. When this 1955 film was released theatrically Johnny Desmond sang the title song over the credits. The soundtrack LP also contains the Desmond vocal. However for the print that is run on TV, Desmond's vocal has been replaced by a chorus of singers. Desmond still receives credit on the titles. Does anyone know why Desmond's singing voice is wiped off the print?
