EPSON MovieMate 25 to Surround Sound

My roommate recently purchased an old Epson Moviemate 25 and we are trying to find a surround sound system with a RF input (regular cable) and an S-video output so we can use the dvd player of the system (or receiver) to watch tv through the projector.  If anyone knows of some 5.1 systems that have this set up I would love to hear about them.

Thanks

It doesn't work like that.  Receivers do sound decoding/amplification & video switching, they don't do TV tuning.  You will have to get a separate device with a TV tuner.

I recommend, for cable, roughly in order:
- TivoHD
- DVR rented from cable company
- digital cable box
- PC set up with QAM tuner card, MCE or other PVR software
- some DVD-R with QAM tuner

Depends on your budget, and which channels you subscribe to.

We are trying to go as low price as possible. Our thoughts were buying our own digital cable box, like a tv tuner, or finding a dvd player with the RF Input and an S-Video output

Are you in U.S. or Canada?  U.S. they won't sell you a cable box, they only let you rent.  What's your cable company, and are you subscribed to a very basic package with only local channels, or something with ESPN/TNT etc.?

No such animal, unless you buy a VCR/DVD combo.
