As some of you may have recalled from piecing together a couple of threads over the past few weeks, I finally got the time and chance (and a relatively good deal-opportunity) to do some major upgrades.

I did the BluRay jump, and I got a Panasonic PT-AE3000 projector to replace my old XGA projector.

In my set-up, my screen needs to be temporary/portable, and acoustically transparent.

My original screen is a light gray 60" diagonal 1.66:1 screen (luck of the draw, really, not by intent!)  And I recently started building a much larger, 80" 1.778:1 screen.  While relatively light and easy to move, I don't know how well it'll keep its shape, and it's really big, awkward, and I doubt it'll survive for long after construction.

Now, more than just Stewart, other people have fine-perforation AT screens; in particular, I'm looking at Elite AcousticPro 1080 screen material, where there's a reasonably priced, 84" electric lift screen that I could work with.

The question is, I sit close to the screen.  While I might not use the entire 84" diagonal, it's the smallest conveniently available.  And I sit, given the space-restrictions, something like 7 feet (84"!) from the screen.  Given the electric lift capabilities, I might be able to shift that out to ~92", but it's still pretty close.

Does anyone have any experience with this screen material, and is the weave going to be too objectionable?  Or do I need to pursue a more robust method of getting this monstrous frame out of the way without warping or breaking?

On the other hand, the AE3000 is making a really nice image, and the Oppo BD player has a really nice scaler in it for regular DVDs, too.
