I am trying to find out who has the DVD rights in North America to a particular film:  "Don't Cry, It's Only Thunder" (1982).

Does anyone know if there is a website where one can go to find out who has the dvd rights for a film or a tv series?

I'd like to find out who owns the rights to the early 60's Ernest Borgnine film "Pay or Die!" so I can badger them into releasing it on DVD.

The website I would go to for such inquiries is...the Home Theater Forum.

I would simply sit back and wait and I bet someone shows up soon to answer both of those questions!

Or at least direct you to the right place...

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

That was a Allied Artist title, so I assume WB controls this, so you might want to request it to them, as I can actually imagine this coming out from their Archieve program.

DON'T CRY was produced by Sanrio, of the Hello Kitty craze. It was distributed here by Samuel Goldwyn, now owned by MGM. Sounds like a Warner Archive possibility.

MGM owns the pre-1996 Samuel Goldwyn product including most of the classic titles.  This would include Don't Cry if the rights were retained.  Any DVD release would be through MGM/Fox (at the present) and not Warner Archive.

Which company owns the DVD rights to the 1951 RKO title The Blue Veil ?  Jane Wyman, Charles Laughton, Joan Blondell, Agnes Moorehead, Audrey Totter and Natalie Wood all starred in this wonderful movie.  Jane Wyman, Joan Blondell and I believe Agnes Moorehead all received nominations for Academy Awards.   This title has never been available anywhere in any form.   HOW COME ???

My guess is some sort of underlying rights debut. It's always good to have award-nominated films available (Wyman and Blondell were the Oscar nominees). I imagine this is in Warners' domain now.
