HTF WIki format

I just ported the contents of the old General Home Theatre FAQ Page into the new Wiki section while the old page was still in Google's cache. Two problems lept out at me right away:
  • Wiki Article names don't preserve formatting. All article titles remove punctuation and convert capitalization to First letter of a word uppercase, all others lowercase. This resulted in the DVD article being titled "Dvd" and the S-Video article being titled "S Video", for instance.
  • No Wikilinking? There doesn't seem to be any easy way to link articles together; under Wikimedia's interface, [[Example]] typed into the body of any article will create a link to the article titled "Example". I created an index page for the FAQ in which I planned to link to the seperate articles for each item of the old FAQ. It seems like it should be easier to link to other articles within the HTF Wiki than the manual method used to link out to other sites on the net.

Other than that, it seems like a neat new arena for the site with interesting possibilities.

Thanks for checking out he Wiki area.  PM me your address and I will send you some BD concert discs:
Heart Alive in Seattle
Chicago Earth, Wind & Fire Live at the Greek Theater
Roy Orbison Black & White Night
The Moody Blues Lovely to See you LIVE
Manilow Live!

The formatting is a know issue and there is a bug report opened for it.  I haven't spent enough time with the wiki's yet, so i will ask Cristina to answer your second question.

Great questions.  At the moment, the only characters permitted in Wiki names are numbers and letters.  We're working on making some big upgrades for the whole Wiki system, including better formatting for names, as well as better/easier ways to link to all the "objects" on the site, whether they're Wikis, products, threads, etc.

I'll keep you posted as to the feature developments.
