SONY DAV-HDX265 - Speaker Selector Switch Installation

Want to add outside patio speakers to my DAV-HDX265 Home theater system and there are no extra jacks to do this. I was told a speaker selector switch would work. Found one at radio shack for 40 bucks. Can someone tell me exactly what I need to do in order to install and not damage my existing sound. Greatly appreciate any help!!!!! Thanks!

You don't need to install anything else.  That is a mechanical switch box to select different sets of speakers.  When you want to go listen on the patio, press the button on the selector that corresponds to that set of speakers.  When you want to listen to your main speakers, press that button.  It is that easy.

but I have to connect the patio speakers to the box and the box to the receiver...there are 5 speakers connected to only 5 jacks for the surround sound. i am adding 2 speakers so how do I do this....thanks!

Connect your two mains as well as your patio speakers to the selector box.  Put the receiver in stereo mode and choose the patio speakers when you want to listen to them.
