video out signal back over my cable modem coax?

Does anyone know if I can add a splitter before the coax gets to my cable modem so I can send an A/V signal back out from my computer over the coax in my house to a tv in another room? I dont have cable tv and there is a coax cable running over there anyway that Im not using.

Just because you don't have cable TV doesn't mean you don't get it. I only pay for cable internet and I still have a few channels leaking in. You would need a frequency agile modulator to make sure you are broadcasting on a clear frequency. It is also designed to send video and audio long distances over coax. Cheap channel 3/4 modulators are only capable of sending video a few feet. Finally, splitters won't work. You will need a diplexor to combine/split the signals. They make them for sending satellite and antenna signals over one cable but the sat signals are much higher frequencies than cable internet. You would need a specially designed set of diplexors.

Basicially it is possible but it won't be cheap.
