Mixed Impedance Power distribution

I am new to the forum, as I am new to pro speaker building.

For all that follows assume we are in magic land and the impedance of the amp matches the impedance of the speakers in any config.

To start, the basics, If you have two 4OHM speakers hooker in series, the total impedance is 8 OHMs and the power is distributed 50% to each (assuming they are identical)

Same goes with two 4OHM speakers in parallel, total impedance is 2 ohms and power is distributed 50% to each.

This is the important part now.....

ok now we are going to mix it up.
you have a 4 ohm speaker and an 8 ohm speaker hooked in series what is the power distribution to each.

Again same idea but in parallel.

I tried to work it out on paper using a 100v source but there is a mental block somewhere.

Could i get a full explanation with many a' steps.

I have never seen anyone explain this because it doesn't happen in real life. I would never recommend mixing drivers this way.

But if you did this, more current would flow through the lower impedance driver when in parallel. I think the same current would flow through both in series based on the total resistance of the drivers.
